Although 
                    formerly designated in the Order Edentata, signifying "toothless", 
                  only the anteaters lack teeth.
                  All 
                    the anteaters have long rostra, very small mouths and long 
                    tongues. The claws on their front paws are long and capable 
                    of tearing apart termite mounds. The giant anteater is terrestrial, 
                    whereas the Tamandua and Cyclopes are both terrestrial and 
                  arboreal.
                  The 
                    tree sloths are arboreal with long limbs, syndactylous toes 
                    and large curved claws, with which they locomote and hang 
                    suspended from trees. They are vegetarian, and have teeth 
                    that are cylindrical and evergrowing
